Quatro horas atrás o twitter tever o seu DNS comprometido. Isso significa que ao digitar www.twitter.com você foi parar noutro lugar.
Um grupo de hackers iranianos conseguiu inserir uma pagina própria no lugar do Twitter.
Em poucos segundos o termo “Defaced by Iranian” entrou nos Trending Topics. Defacement ou deface (desfiguração) é um tipo de hacking que consiste em explorar vulnerabilidades em um site e modificar a sua página inicial, seja por motivos políticos ou por brincadeira.
Conforme resposta encontrada no site de status do twitter:
We are working to recovery from an unplanned downtime and will update more as we learn the cause of this outage.
Update (11:28p): Twitter’s DNS records were temporarily compromised but have now been fixed. We are looking into the underlying cause and will update with more information soon.
Ontem, depois de uma manhã problemática, o twitter se posiciona quanto aos problemas:
“We are aware of and investigating the causes of timeline delays and missing tweets. Retweet is back up and fully functional.”
